Ka-HOOTZ for KIDS is a new series especially designed for young audiences and their families offered by Ka-HOOTZ, ABQ’s only theater company exclusively dedicated to producing new plays. Ka-HOOTZ for KIDS features 2 fully staged plays by local playwrights, WONDERDOG by award-winning playwright Lou Clark and the world premiere of The Three Señorita Pigletitas Y el Diablo the Wolf by Patricia Crespin which will be presented together from Friday, December 4th – Sunday, December 13th at VSA North Fourth Art Center.

WONDERDOG, appropriate for ages 5 and older, tells the story of Katie (played by Wendy Scott), who is a new girl in a new town on her first day at a new school meeting her unlikely new friend, Pug, a talking dog (played by Michael Ellis). The Three Señorita Pigletitas Y el Diablo the Wolf, appropriate for ages 10 and older, is Patricia Crespin’s lively world premiere adaptation of the classic The Three Little Pigs, New Mexico style.

Ka-HOOTZ for KIDS – WONDERDOG and The Three Señorita Pigletitas Y el Diablo the Wolf run from December 4-13, 2009 at VSA North Fourth Art Center (located at 4904 4th Street NW - between Griegos & Montano).

Show-times are Fridays & Saturdays at 7PM and Sundays at 2pm. Tickets to WONDERDOG and The Three Señorita Pigletitas Y el Diablo the Wolf are $10 which includes admission to both shows.

You want to see a comedy. Your German philosopher pal wants to see a tragedy. What to do? You're in luck. Continuing its commitment to staging new work, Ka-HOOTZ theater company presents Seven Interviews, a collection of seven short pieces by playwright Mark Dunn. Each play is helmed by a different director as part of the company's Emerging Directors Project. The show at Auxiliary Dog Theatre (3011 Monte Vista NE) runs through Oct. 4, on Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. Tickets are $10.
