Becca Holmes

Becca Holmes
is a Santa Fe native who graduated from The University of New Mexico’s Department of Theatre and Dance in 1991.  She also studied at American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco. Becca served for several years as the Associate Artistic Director of The Empty Space Theatre in Seattle, where she co-founded Late Night at the Palace, a venue for new fringe theatre. She also co-founded PATHS, the Space’s Education/Outreach program.  In Seattle, Becca directed dozens of plays, in both fringe and professional venues.  Her experience includes performance and writing.  
 
In Washington, DC area, she was one of two founding board members to establish a children’s museum (Children’s Museum of Northern Virginia).  She also worked as a full time drama teacher at Lake Anne Elementary School in Fairfax County.  She was a participant in the Kennedy Center’s CETA (Changing Education Through the Arts) Program.  
 
Currently, Becca is a Teaching Artist with Santa Fe Opera, a member of Ka-HOOTZ Theatre Company, and a mom.
